AITA for not dueling with my friend?

I was focusing on a build I was doing (in a game) and I asked my friend for help. Instead of helping, they keep asking to duel (fight) me in the game. I accepted for a few minutes and did what they asked. I won and then went back to building. They then said they wanted another. I said I couldn’t because I had to focus on my project (which I had been procrastinating on for 3 years). They said then they didn’t want to play even though they said they’d help (which they didn’t.) They left and ghosted me. Am I the asshole for not doing what they ask?

  1. NTA. You’re better off without that person. They’re obviously the type of person who only cares about kept promises when it comes to shit they want

  2. NTA. You asked them to help, not play. I think the initial request to duel you for a few minutes is fine, wanting to try it out and get a feel for gameplay is not an unreasonable ask. But when you went back to work that should have been their cue to shift into building mode. Why accept your request for help if they weren’t actually willing to help?

  3. nta you literally asked for help with your build and they just wanted to duel instead?? friends should respect when you need to focus on something important.
