A few weeks ago I (30f) took a weekend trip with 5 friends (20-22 f + one 21m) to see a new city. We had to split the group for the trip back, since flights were too expensive when I went to buy my ticket, so I took the bus back to the capital, and we would later all meet up to take the bus back home. There was a rest stop on the way and the driver made everyone step out of the bus to lock it for 25 minutes (at least that’s what I heard, it was not in my first, second, or third language). It was cold, so I went inside to wait it out, but by the time I got back the bus had already left. I was lucky enough there was another bus at the stop going to the same city, so I hopped in that one. (A little bit wrong, but still better than being stuck at a rest stop in the middle of the night).
I texted the group chat telling them what had happened and asking to meet the bus at the platform to get my things back since their flight had arrived by then. Their messages were pretty confusing, it didn’t seem like they were finding the correct bus even though I told them platform and time, so I asked if they were at the right place. Then R (21m) got pissed and told me to "delete that shit" and they were doing their best. I had arrived at another bus station by then and was taking the subway to meet them, so I let them know I’d be there soon and we’d figure it out.
By the time I got to the station, it was 1AM, and they were gone. I texted the group chat, they said they had left, and I asked where to. I got no reply until 3AM, when they sent a single view photo of a club. By then, I had already gotten an hotel room because it was cold and pretty dangerous at the station.
P.S. Before the backpack issue, I had told them I’d spend the night at the airport, since I’m not a night person and they wanted to enjoy the night at the city. But without the backpack it would be even colder at the airport, and no food either. They didn’t ask what I would do. When we got the bus the next day, none of them tried to explain what happened.
