AITA for texting my friend while my mom slept?

I (13F) was messaging my friend in the middle of the night because she was upset about something personal. I normally keep my phone in the living room to charge and have been since fourth grade (I’m now in 8th). I feel like my mom still doesn’t trust me even though it’s been nearly 4 years and I haven’t done anything "sketchy" in the past. My mom found out the next morning and made me leave my phone at home for two days (which meant I couldn’t use my hearing aid during school since it only connects to my phone). I now have to leave my phone in her room every night before bed even though the "incident" happened on November 16th. My mom had surgery on her foot a few weeks ago so she has to use a knee scooter or a walker to get around. She said that I was "taking advantage of her immobility" because there’s a smaller possibility that she would go into the living room to check if my phone was on the couch or not (I never even thought of this and just wanted to console my friend). I don’t think it’s necessary to keep my phone in her room for THAT LONG over a minor one-time issue. My dad was the one who originally called me an asshole for doing this, but I wasn’t sure. AITA?
