AITA for training just one dog that it’s not allowed in my room?

I have a dog and a cat who both sleep in my room with me every night, they’re both very clean (my dog gets a bath once a week) and are potty trained. My brother got a puppy a while ago (it’s now full grown) that still isn’t fully potty trained and never gets a bath

My brother thinks i’m the asshole because I don’t want his dog in my room and that i’m not being fair, because I trained his dog that it’s not allowed to walk into my room/has to stop at the door. I don’t see a problem with me not wanting someone else’s dirty, untrained dog in my room?

  1. NTA. Unless you’re doing something illegal or harmful in your room, it’s none of your brother’s business what you do or do not do/allow in your room.

  2. On top of the reasons you already gave, your own pets don’t deserve to accosted by a puppy in their safe space.

    NTA.

  3. NTA. Clearly the untrained dog can be trained. Your brother just needs to get off of his lazy butt and train his dog. He’s not doing that dog any favors by not training it. And as for the hygiene… that puppy must be so itchy. If it is an indoor dog, it needs to be bathed in regular intervals depending of fur type. And anytime they get extra dirty.

  4. Don’t relent. The reason he thinks you’re an AH is because he wants you to do all the work for him. He’s the AH.

  5. NTA. Your brother should potty train his dog, or keep him in his own room. What’s up with that? Stick to your guns, he can only guilt trip you if you let him, and you don’t have to. Why should you pay for his lack of desire (for whatever reason) to properly train his dog?
