Do you just have to be kind of a dick nowadays?

All manosphere shit aside, is the nice guys finish last thing kind of unfolding? Would like to hear your thoughts and personal stories. Just asking because I’m genuinely a nice dude but maybe I just need to keep my guard up? I understand this is kind of vague wondering if anyone can relate.

    1. This is something you should be a dick about btw, not only does it make you seem safe and protective, but having strong boundaries is safe practice.

  1. No, it’s all about knowing who you are and being secure enough so that you can genuinely be a nice guy, and not just kissing everyone’s ass.

There’s a difference, it might be more subtle, but I chose those words to bring the difference to the light.

  2. People always mix up “nice” with being a pushover, having no spine, seeking external validation, avoiding conflict and confrontation, having no integrity, giving white lies to avoid hard truths.

Being nice has always, and will always be, in fashion and desirable. Being weak is not the same.

Being a dick can work for transactional topics and relationships, but is not really a successful strategy for long term relationships.

  3. Confident, kind people are generally attractive. You can be a genuinely nice guy and do well if you also have positive self-esteem.
