AITA Hangout party incident

So, I (16M) was at my friend’s house for a small hangout. We were playing video games and eating snacks. My friend’s older sister (19F) walks in and asks if anyone wants some leftover sushi she made. I grab a piece, take a bite… and immediately realize it’s *way* expired. I spit it out, but she’s standing there.

Before I can apologize, my friend’s dog runs in, jumps on the sushi plate, and knocks it all over the floor. She screams, starts crying, and then, out of nowhere, my friend’s mom comes in, sees the mess, and accuses me of trying to poison her daughter. My friend sides with his sister. Everyone’s yelling, and I’m just standing there holding my half-eaten sushi like a criminal.

Later, they post a video on social media saying “Random kid tried to feed me expired sushi on purpose” and it blows up. My parents are mad at me for going there in the first place, my friend’s family won’t talk to me, and apparently I “ruined a life.”

This makes no sense whatsoever. She made the sushi and offered you some, but all of a sudden you’re being accused of feeding her “expired sushi, whatever the hell that is…?

    YTA.

  2. What a disaster. You need to communicate better and stay calm. That situation spiraled out of control fast, and now you’re left with the fallout. Learn from this.
