Me (14F) and my dad (50M) recently got into an arguement and he brought up that I was irresponsible for forgetting to help him do something.
Throwback to weeks ago, when we were casually having lunch he asked if I could help him pin a button back onto his shirt. I said ok and he never mentioned it/ asked me to do it after. I completely forgot.
So now he’s saying I should have been responsible. I think im already doing him a favor and it shouldnt be my responsibility to ask him to give me the shirt? If he still remembers it after all these months why didn’t he just ask me to do it when I was free instead of saying nothing and blaming me for it weeks later
Tbh its not rlly a big problem but its getting really annoying bc he’s mentioning it in every arguement saying me being irresponsible is why I can’t succeed blah blah
TL;DR: Got asked to fix stuff, dad got mad bc I did not remember and says it is my responsibility to remind him
