My household and surrounding houses have had some issues with drainage in recent days. There’s a blockage somewhere in the road and it is getting fixed.
When the professionals were investigating the issue, I showed them where the next manhole to mine was in the street. It was on my neighbour’s front lawn. I took him to it, and within seconds the neighbour opened her window and started to shout about how I should have asked permission before walking onto the grass. For content, I took three steps, and it is just grass. No fences, walls, plants etc.
Later in the day, I saw my neighbour stood on my lawn, looking through my window. I figured she had knocked on the door and I didn’t hear it.
When opening the door, I was "informed" that I had been acting in a threatening manner by not seeking permission. She said she was getting changed in her front room (I didn’t look, so wouldn’t know).
I pointed out I thought I was being a good neighbour by actively trying to help figure out the drain issue and not wanting it to have affected her property.
Long story short, I thought I was doing a good thing. She thinks I was invading her privacy.
