For context, we got a very small wedding venue (max 50 people) to prevent family drama as much as possible.
I’m currently trying to decide between inviting my aunt’s husband (who I don’t know, not even his name) OR giving my good friend for 13 years a plus one (they’re not in a relationship so I don’t know who they would bring) OR inviting a supportive coworker I’ve known for 5 years. For additional context, I’ve maybe seen the said aunt twice in the last 15 years?
Anyways my parents are going to be pissed if I don’t invite my aunt’s husband (that she may or may not actually be married to, no one knows but they live together so maybe common law?)
Am I the asshole for not wanting to invite the aunt’s husband?
Additional info:
My aunt and her husband (?) were married (?) recently and live very far. My parents would have to ask around for the husband’s name
We’re paying for our wedding by ourselves
