hey,
So the other day I was hugging my girlfriend tightly and started stroking her hair over and over as I love the feeling of it between my fingers. She pushed me away a little bit and said to me "don’t pat me like that, I’m not a dog!" to which I replied "really, have you looked in the mirror lately?". Was I an asshole for saying this?
thanks.
Title is misleading.
And yes, YTA, obviously. Why are you insulting your girlfriend?
YTA. But you knew that.
Of course YTA
Do you really think you weren’t?
Also your post title is deliberately misleading.
Ohhhh…most certainly T A! Gawd, who taught you to respond like that?
Of course YTA. That’s not a joke or something, that’s just insulting.
YTA. I don’t care if you like the feeling of her hair between your fingers – she doesn’t. Your preference does not override someone’s bodily autonomy. And YTA for calling her a dog.
She needs to run.
Take this dumb ass shit to “No dumb questions”
I did something, my girlfriend told me to stop, I insulted her instead AITA?
Yep I read that right are you asking if instead of insulting her you should have respected her?
YTA
YTA Nothing more to say to this one.
I wonder if she’s told you before she doesn’t like you touching her hair and you’ve ignored it.
YTA – little baby gets butthurt when someone gives him a boundary and insults a woman’s appearance. Gross.
Obviously YTA id love to hear your explanation of you think you might not of been?
YTA, colossally. What happened there was she withdrew consent and you lashed out at her for it. Which means you don’t respect consent and shouldn’t touch anyone.
YTA for essentially calling your gf a dog. Her not wanting to be touched a particular way doesn’t give you the right to lash out at her, verbally or otherwise.
