I live in an older neighborhood, I stay to myself for the most part and keep out of the drama between some neigvbors. but About two months ago I had an older lady try to enter my house in the middle of the day. I opened my door and talked to her a little and realized she has dementia, mostly blind, struggles with walking and hard of hearing.
I talked with her a little and finally figured out where she lives and helped her home. I didn’t see her for a few weeks but then she attempted to come in my house again but early morning. This has happened a few times since then and the last time I contacted adult protective services because I figured out she is doing this when left alone which is often. Obviously in the state she is in, she needs either 24/7 care or in a care home.
I’m starting to overthink about the situation because I haven’t seen her or heard her yelling. I feel bad, I just wanted her to get the care she needs.
