AITA for retaliation against my duplex neighbors?

For context, I am a 21F who lives with her dad. We’ve lived in a duplex, this same one, for 12 years so I’m used to neighbors coming and going with various types of attitudes and personalities.

About 2 months ago, We’d complained to our Landlord about our direct neighbors over their drug use that had actually flagged my father at work because he smelled like pøt to a extent. Thin walls and heavy use on their part that genuinely had us dazed.

They retaliated recently by complaining that he snores and gets up too early, and that (with the snow) we never shovel the sidewalk on both sides because it’s "in our contract" (upon asking, it was not. It was half and half) and also threw in that they don’t want us walking on the grass. (which does belong to us too directly said by the landlord.)

They retaliated against one complaint with multiple, and so we’ve been genuinely baffled because just, wow. So while my father was at work, They were screaming over there, absolutely wailing – throwing stuff I could hear.

So I called my father and he said to call the police, so I did. It was anonymous and despite that, They only got in our faces about it not even a hour after the officers left and threatened to complain about how we were ruining their days here and how much of childish set of bastards we are.

I guess I’m just on the fence on if what I did was right, or if I should’ve just let them do their thing. They called it retaliation, but honestly, I just wanted them to shut up since they do it damn near daily and In the 4 years they’ve lived here, I got tired of it on top of everything else they did.
