AITA? Is wanting my friend to not lie to me too much to ask?

So, to provide some background, my girlfriend died from cancer in 2011 and I have not been in a relationship since then. Initially I didn’t want to see anyone but now I am just having trouble meeting anyone (I’m currently 50 yrs old). Also, in 2021 I decided to move back home to Wisconsin to live with my elderly parents to help them out since I am the only one out of their 4 kids who is not married and has no kids. At the time that I moved I had some acquaintances but only one person I would call a friend. Before I moved I was concerned for the safety of him and his wife since I would be across the country and not able to help him if needed, so I gave him my .22 pistol, which he accepted gratefully. Fast forward to the present and I still have no other friends, but have been dealing with low grade depression ever since moving and leaving basically my whole life behind. My friend, let’s call him Ron, and I frequently would play online console games together and this is pretty much my only social interaction apart from work. Ron would fairly often say he was going to be getting on to play but then later would either just ghost me or provide some excuse for not wanting to play. He also kept saying he was going to ship the box with my birthday present multiple times for about 2 years before I gave him the ultimatum that I’m not going to talk to him until he sends it because I was tired of the repeated “I’m sending it this Saturday” and him not doing it. 

About a week ago he did this with gaming and told me he just got caught up watching a show with his wife, which would be fine but his gaming account showed he was playing that night, just a game that I don’t own and don’t want to buy.

AITA for calling him out on this repeated lying about him hopping online and then he plays something else without saying anything?
