AITA For Letting my Sons Girlfriend Come Over after my wife Banned her from the house?

I (44M) have a 15 year old son and a 12 year old daughter with my wife (44F).

My son is currently dating ”Ashley” from his school. They’ve probably been together for about two months I’d say. In that time, I guess Ashley cheated on him (that’s what he told me) but not too long after that they got back together. Not what I would do but it’s his life.

My wife actually liked Ashley before, but after the whole cheating thing she doesn’t like her anymore. So now she’s not allowed to come to the house. I try to tell her that yes, what she did wasn’t good they’re back together now. And our son doesn’t seem to mind. She still insists she doesn’t come to the house though.

Last weekend my son decided to have Ashley over anyways. Which is because he asked me prior annd I said yes. I answered the door and let them in. My wife was home, but didn’t say anything because Ashley was already here. She was being kind of short with her though. After his girlfriend left, she chewed me out for allowing her to come over when she said no. She was pretty upset with me for a while. I just think my wife is being kind of overbearing here. I think this is just one of those things you’ll learn from.
