Last weekend, my (21m) friend (21f) invited me to her dorm because she ordered too much food and wanted me to share with me. I originally said no because I had to do an assignment but she let me bring my laptop so it was fine
She let me know her roommate wasn’t there, which was good for me since itd be better for me to get work done. We ate and talked while I worked on my assignment. (She didn’t have a surplus of food, so I was kind of confused on WHY she even invited me.) She seemed really keen on trying to get deep into conversations while I was trying to work, and I got a little annoyed. I didn’t mind some talking but I had work to do. She was insistent on talking though, so I thanked her for the food and let her know she was distracting me a bit and left.
She texted me after saying that she was “disappointed“ and since then we haven’t talked since. I see her in person but she won’t talk to me.

It was a casual date. She was trying to hang out with you as more than friends.
