This happened in my second year of college during one of my in-person classes. It was a fairly a large class, and I was assigned a team with 5 other people. I just want to state that I am very stupid and make a lot of mistakes in my life, so when the professor asked me about my opien one of my teammates asked me, I froze up beucase i forgot her name and had to ask her in front of the whole class. I was so embarrassed and felt really bad because I had known her for like 6 weeks. I been thinking about that incident ever since.
NTA! I’ve got coworkers I’ve dealt with for years and couldn’t begin to tell you their names. It happens. Apologize and move on.
NTA millions of people out there that can’t remember names, and that includes me. I think because names are quite random, they don’t make sense most of the time. Parents should be allowed to change their kids’ names after a few years in order to make the name fit the person.
NTA this is so dumb… it’s ridiculous that this is causing you so much guilt. It’s a common mistake. I wouldn’t know someone’s name after knowing them longer unless we were close. Plus you were anxious and tons of info can escape your brain then. Let this go…
NAH
Not ONE of us has gotten through life without doing something stupid/embarassing. It happens.
You have to let this go. You have to give yourself grace to do stupid shit sometimes.
The only way to never fail is to sit on your couch and do nothing. And that sucks.
NTA. This is such a relatable post lol
NTA I spent 2 years in a comp sci class (6 years knowing these people) and I couldn’t tell you half the names sometimes
