Forgot some smaller bills to tip wait staff, drivers etc.. feel like an idiot. I think that probably means I’m an idiot. But just wanted to get some other perspectives if you have any. And no there is no ATM on the resort and don’t feel safe going off resort
YTA. That’s how they make their money
YTA. Now you know to always have tip money.
Ask for change for larger bills at the front desk. YTA if you think forgetting smaller bills lets you off the hook for tipping.
NTA If cash tipping is the standard at the resort and they have no on site atm, the resort needs to include that info while booking.
You can exchange larger bills at the reception desk
I hate tipping, but it is expected at all-inclusive resorts, so a very light YTA. I imagine your service will not be as as good as it could have been once they realize you don’t tip at all.
YTA. personally, i couldnt stay there for multiple days being served and not tipping anyone.
Front desk can probably do cash against your credit card
Why do I find it hard to believe there’s no ATM
Most of those employees, especially if they think they might be tipped usually have money apps. (Venmo or cash app)
Ask the front desk about helping you get to an ATM. They must run into this all the time.
I’m guessing the resort should have an atm, and if so I would withdraw cash and then go to the bar to trade for smaller bills.
Exceptional, one books all-inclusive so you don’t have to have a wallet on you all the time to pay for stuff and end up having to have your wallet on you all the time regardless, but this time full of small bills.
NTA, tip culture is just ridiculous at this point.
