I’ve just moved into a new flat, and it’s a really nice place. The landlords live across the road (they also have family as our direct neighbours). Last night I came home to cook dinner and there was some stranger (my flatmate’s sister’s friend) rolling weed in our kitchen. Thankfully, my flatmate (Sarah) made them smoke it outside on our deck (Sarah doesn’t smoke it herself, just her friends). I let them do their thing. The next day I said to her "hey do you mind if we don’t smoke weed at our place? Just because our neighbours would be able to smell it and I really don’t want to get kicked out". Is this okay of me to ask? Or am I being too uptight? I don’t want to step on her toes. (For reference weed is illegal here. Sarah also grew up around a lot of weed, and her sister’s quite into it and visits often).
Edit: I couldn’t care less about them smoking weed, and I told her this. My concern is doing it in our home where our landlords may easily find out
