I am together with my GF for about 8 months now, and she has a 3.5 years old male cat. We have serious ideas to be together, living together, get married etc. Problem is her cat, at the beginning of the relationship, I didn’t pass much time at her place, but after a while I was going there constantly. The cat was ok like he was loving me: eating, purring, sleeping with me. But, for some time he is not tolerating me anymore in the house, after I’ve spent 5-6 days there. He is attacking me viciously, hissing growling, meowing and being tensions around me. He was one time kind of bad with my GF too, was scaring her with his behavior. But I am the problem, he doesn’t want me there. He stayed almost 24 hours a day with my GF growing up, had contact only with women 90% of the time. I tried to be his friend, always bring him food but he doesn’t like me. We tried everything: vet, medicine, felyway, toys, cat behavior specialist.. nothing works. when he attacks me, he is not scared like he doesn’t have that specific position or ears or the tail in a scared manner, he is just walking by as a normal cat then jumps , hiss and growls when he is attacking, I have to put him 60 minutes in a room the he is ok but eventually will attack again, I mean he is not doing that because he is afraid of me or out of instinct, he does that cause he wants.
Long story short.. my GF wants to relocate him but I feel awfull and I feel as an Asshole, I didn’t ask her to do that. She loves him very much and I see she is suffering but I don’t know what to do..
