I had two friends who were basically always there for me .
Lets call them A and B we were close for a long while. The entire day was normal until. We made plans to meet up after our school club and when i went to the meet up spot they werent there. I waited for 20 minutes but no. I was looking for them ,when i found them they ran . And i found them again they also ran . I was tired exausted confused and angry at the same time. I chased after them another time and i was mad and i was like im gonna kill youuuu . They ran (honestly that last time i dont blame them)
Jeez does this ever bring back so bad memories from my childhood. If I could go back I would tell my younger self “don’t chase people, literally or metaphorically, who don’t appreciate you”.
NTA. Chin up, kid. This bullshit eventually stops and you’ll find your people.
NTA
They made you wait, and then ran away twice when you found them. Your anger was context appropriate, so even though they seemed scared the third time, because you were likely visibly angry, I belive it was just the consequences of their own actions.
Classic case of fuck around and find out on their part
OP admitted to saying “I’m going to kill you” the last time while chasing them. That is far past “likely visibly angry”.
FAAFO is for serious situations. Not stupid childish shit like this.
Being angry and upset in this situation is absolutely reasonable.
Going home and then texting them and asking them what happened is a reasonable response.
Chasing after them MULTIPLE times after they no showed is wild. Not realizing that they did not want you around after you chased them the FIRST time is naive. Continuing to chase them, then chasing them AGAIN while threatening them, then thinking they’re wrong, is absolutely unhinged.
Maybe their anger was appropriate, but their response absolutely was not
I absolutely get where you are coming from, but this did not read like a legible threat to me. It’s a child, and not like they are running after them with a weapon or have a history of violence.
These seem like these adolescent/pre adolescent children, with the typical reasoning ability of that age. An adult would have given up after waiting the first 15min with no contact and texted post. Not gone looking and chased after them, because ego would come in the way
But that’s the entire point, you’re learning social interaction and how friendships work at that age, and children typically don’t assume malice or mal intent. We’ve all made threats in jest or frustration to siblings/friends when we were young without any ability or willingness to actually follow through.
But if there is not to the story OP hasn’t disclosed, then 100% agree that it was over kill

NTA. That wasn’t a prank, that was just mean. Running away multiple times after making plans is childish and hurtful.
No man, you gotta be your own person.
ESH, as usual with pre-adolescent drama where there are probably a lot of missing details.
They were rude to ditch you. You shouldn’t have said what you did during that last chase.
NTA. Oof sorry this happened.
