I’m waiting to start my new job, so I have some free time. I’ve finally watched Breaking Bad and find Skylar’s character insufferable. I just can’t stand her. I’ve been watching the show alone and my wife has seen it before. I told her that I’ve been skipping most scenes with Skylar. In my opinion, the show is better without her as a main character. My wife went off at me, calling me sexist and so on.
I don’t think it’s sexist to dislike a particular character in a particular show. Am I in the wrong here?
I absolutely couldnt imagine watching one of the most critically acclaimed shows of all time and just skipping all of the scenes with a character as important to the narrative as Skyler.
