AITAH for not letting my little sisters best friend in my room?
I (18 F) share a bedroom with my fiance (18 M) we’ve known each other for a quite a few years and have been through a lot together. We live with my parents and little sister (17 F). My little sister has this so called best friend (17 F) that basically lives at the house with her fiance (18 M) and they constantly use everyones belongings, even when told not too.
My little sisters best friend likes to take my mother’s and I’s belongings. She returns them to us basically empty and constantly rips or stains our clothes. I take it personal due to the boundaries I have constantly set for everyone. This girl always oversteps and never listens to what any of us say. Just recently I have found my expensive skincare products trashed and my favorite tops that went missing before I got to wear them were ruined. I have known this girl to cut my hair while we were younger. She has always been rude to me and my mother. This girl likes to copy what I do and what I do to my hair or style of clothing. She got engaged a week after I did then said I copied her.
She comes from a bad home but that shouldn’t be the reason she’s the way she is, her aunts have always spoiled her due to her mom leaving her drug addict father. My mother thinks I’m going too far with not letting her in my room or using my belongings. My little sister is ignoring the situation. My father tells us to ignore each other.
AITAH?
NTA, get a lock for your door – why is she living with you? If my daughters friend moved in (with boyfriend???!!!!) And was rude, wrecked my stuff, ignored boundaries, they’d be moving straight out again!
I wouldn’t say YTA, but boy, this sounds like a really odd living situation.
What’s with all the children being engaged?
I know, right??? And then the local deug addict’s daughter living at her house too?
Not to be rude but why do u guys have a fiancé at the age of 18? 😭
This story ended prematurely. You set up a conflict involving keeping someone out of your room, did a nice job of explaining the context, and then didn’t say a single word about what actually happened.
YTA for making stuff up.
NTA, set some hard boundaries with these people and more importantly talk to your sister, it sounds like she’s just there to take advantage of her and your family. Get a lock for your door while you’re at it. It honestly should not have been allowed to go on this long to be honest though
Where do you live that any of fhis is acceptable?
Made up stories from the trailer park. Next time finish the story.
YTA you don’t even mention in the post anyone having a conflict with you not letting her in your room.
Lock Ur doors or kick her out
YTA all of you for all getting engaged far too young.
