Probably waiting to not seem desperate or if you have his number as well maybe he is waiting for you to respond.

Already dating someone else. So focused on the other woman. Or maybe focused on self improvement or work. I feel like men view a new woman as a waste of time and money. So unless he’s in a good space not really that interested.

Could literally be anything. Sometimes you overthink it “maybe should wait a day or two cuz it’s too soon”. Then after time passes “maybe it’s too late now”. Maybe he’s nervous. Maybe he’s dating someone else. Maybe it was just validation to get by at work. Maybe he’s depressed and has mood switches.
He could be building up the confidence to actually call or message.
He is giving you space since you’ve just quit your job.
He might already have a partner and you were just a work wife
He might of got in an accident
These are some of the things that might have happened. There are probably many many more reasons also.
But you could just send him an message to initiate the conversation also. So then atleast you know.
He may not like you as much as you think, or at the very least, i’d wager you like him more than he likes you and odds are good he’s aware of that, and what that also means is that he holds all the power in this situation.
