  1. NTA your dad is mean and your mom needs to have a serious discussion with him about how he talks to you. Get rid of the bike.

  2. YWNBTA

I Don’t know if the translation came through poorly, but if he called you fat, and tall (huh?), he needs better manners when speaking to people.

Also stationary bikes come in different lengths (elliptical as well) for height, and you need to make sure you have the correct one for safety.

  3. NTA.

Move your desk into your room and put the exercise bike in the living room.

PS. Marfan Syndrome would make you tall and thin. Not sure if you’re saying the bike is too big for you or you are too big for the bike, but usually they are quite adjustable.

    1. My mum does not like that idea becuse guests will ask why is there a bike in the middle of living room and i live in a small house

      1. This strikes me as an “it’s better to ask forgiveness than permission” scenario. Put the bike in the living room. Your mom and dad are adults, if they don’t want it there they have the capacity to find a new home for it before any curious visitors are expected if it’s that important to them.

(Also, “the bike is just temporary while we figure out where to put it” is a totally normal and valid answer to any questions. But most guests will be too polite to ask them, so this thing about questions is total BS.)

  4. NTA. And they clearly don’t understand Marfan’s. You should only being doing an exercise regime YOUR DOCTOR SAYS IS SAFE FOR YOUR HEART! And if the bike doesn’t fit, it’s not safe nor will it get used. So tell your dad if he cared he’d have gotten one that FIT YOU instead of being as A S S about it! You live on your own? Then put it outside with a free sign on it! Post it to a marketplace! Just get rid of it. If he gave it to you, it’s yours to do whatever you want with it. If grandma wants it? Hire someone to take it to her- don’t you dare try to move that on your own!
