So, back in October my boyfriend (20m) told me (18f) about this play his college was doing, ‘the three musketeers’. I wasn’t the most excited about him doing it because of past issues, but he told me the character didn’t really have any intimacy at all so i wouldn’t have to worry.
He auditioned and got the lead as we all predicted (he’s really good) but I later found out that his character has multiple intimate scenes. I really want to support him but that makes me uncomfortable and he’s more than aware of it. He briefly contemplated quitting the play because of stress with classes and I was honest with him and told him I was pretty uncomfortable so it would be reliving if he did quit. But, he ultimately ended up deciding to stay in the play.
I love him and I really want to support him but im genuinely so uncomfortable with the fact that he’s even doing it, i don’t know how I could go watch it.
I’m not trying to make him quit the play I just don’t think I can handle going to see it.
