Hello, i (23 F) am in quite a awful situation. I kind of live under a health care facility that also allows people prepare to move in and out via contract. Either way onto the topic at hand. Some of the workers here are spreading rumors out of spite and jealousy. The work environment is literally awful for residents. Upcoming Tuesday, we’ll speak with the owner of the property and such. I, as well have to mention the breaking in situation of who did it. She (27 F) admitted to it. (She’s a worker btw)
It’s literally the residents vs the workers at this point. Before you ask questions about the break in. Yes it happened, i also have a camera but was resetted and turned off. We can’t file a complaint to the police. (Weird ik) Yes you’re allowed to ask what was stolen and what happened. Yet also to mention i wasn’t home but could immediately tell when was broken in. But i ain’t saving anyone on the note, truth will always come to the surface.
So the question is, AITAH for exposing her crimes and getting her fired?
Edit to add; I’ve tried to ask (27 F) what i did wrong, newsflash. Nothing came out and cussed me out. I’ve mentioned it to the other workers as well but stand by their colleagues rather than the residents. It’s getting worse and worse. She keeps spreading rumors along with an other resident. My safety is kinda on the line. Especially hearing that more was coming at me.
NTA, this is very illegal and you’re entirely justified. Probably consider moving somewhere safer if possible.

Yeah, I get your point. My country is difficult too, albeit for other reasons. Anyway though, you’re justified in doing what you did. I stand by my verdict.
Just to say we have a resident council. With that, we have an entire list of what to discuss. The only good thing is when i move, i have high priority to get out since it’s a Healthcare facility. But no housing available at the moment.
