Hi everyone! 25F here. AITA in this situation:
I just got screamed at by my mom. She insists that I fold my elder brother’s and sister in law’s clean laundry. She forbade me from putting their stack of clean laundry in their basket. She saw me doing that and said: Go and fold. Now! When I refused, she guilt trips and says: if you don’t want to do it, go in your room. Leave me to do all the household chores myself.
I sort of retaliated and said: I don’t even fold my own laundry straight away. They sit in my basket until I fold them myself. She wasn’t having it.
For context, my brother stays with his in laws. And is only home on certain weekends. So his clean laundry sits in his basket for days to end. He doesn’t have any issues unpacking and folding it himself. AITA here?
TLDR: I refuse to fold my 27 year old brother’s laundry and mom wasn’t having it. AITA for not folding his clothes? I just feel that she’s mad I’m not enabling my brother. Or not contributing to household chores.
