AITA for refusing to go out to dinner wity my family?

I’m 17 and a few days ago I refused to go out to a celebratory dinner with my family, they were basically celebrating my two (half) sisters getting job and me getting into the 12th grade (which is not much of an achievement to me personally), and I refused, why? Well because firstly I just wanted to be alone since they’re always home and I never get to be alone and secondly I just dislike them tbh, they’re kinda trashy and annoying people, like they barely ever apologise to me after wronging me, they barely consider my feelings, even my mom won’t take me to the doctor for my subluxated knee and I genuinely feel like they dislike me just a little bit, though I can’t prove it, maybe that’s just my own insecurities speaking.

Edit: I don’t even have my own room, I have to sleep with my mom, and people constantly come into this room since it’s the master bedroom and contains a bathroom

  1. you feel like they don’t like you but they wanted to do something nice to celebrate you. i’m not gonna pass judgement because you’re so young but i think taking these opportunities to build better relationships can only be a good thing

  2. Your parents absolutely need to take you to a doctor for your knee, you are still legally a child. NTA, i get wanting to be alone.

  3. NTA, I know you’re young and part of the annoyance you feel is because of that. I was on the parents side for a while till you said that your mom refuses to take you to a doc. That’s a huge red flag. If you feel like they dislike them, I’m sorry to say that it might be true from what you say. Focus on yourself and get to a better position. Hope all goes well for you
