AITA for screaming at my roommate for never doing the dishes and for being messy.

I honestly couldn’t contain it anymore as this has made me mad for a long time and had to just let it out. I feel really bad since she did cry, but gross food was building up in the sink and she rarely did the dishes. I also felt like I was constantly picking up after her.

  1. YTA for yelling NTA for being frustrated. You can’t explode on people, you have to learn to communicate effectively.

Also, clean vs not clean is a personality type. She can change her behavior but she’ll never CHANGE. You probably aren’t compatible as roommates if it’s been SO frustrating that you yelled. I would find a new living situation if I were you.

      1. College roommates are tough. Meeting each other’s expectations is hard!

Buy her some paper plates, I guess idk. Best of luck!

  2. YTA for yelling at her but otherwise NTA. Having a serious, sit-down conversation with her would’ve been the right thing to do but I get why you’re upset

  3. ESH. Her for being a slob, you for screaming at her. The correct course of action would be to ultimatum her ass to either clean up after herself or you request a new roommate if this is a college provided housing situation or moving out with a diff roommate if not
