AITA – I (F25) procrastinated two months on canceling month-to-month insurance on a car that is inoperable (engine died) and my boyfriend (M27) wants me to call and demand my money back from the insurance agency.
Short and sweet, the car died due to a timing chain snapping. It sat for two months at the mechanic while they kindly let us decide we weren’t going to have the head rebuilt. For those two months I procrastinated and didn’t call to cancel its insurance like I should have.
My bf is demanding that I call the insurance company and ask for a refund for the months it was not being driven (around $400.) I’ve explained to him that that’s NOT how it works, and that they’ll laugh in my face, but he is insisting that I’m being ridiculous and unreasonable for not wanting to even try.
AITA? Why is this even an argument???
