AITA for criticizing people’s bathroom habits in front of my girlfriend’s brother

Last week my girlfriend and I had dinner with her brother. While we were waiting for our food, I had to go to the washroom. I saw the guy in the urinal next to me walk out without washing his hands. Back at the table I talked about that and how I missed that during covid there was a legitimate excuse to not shake people’s hands. My girlfriend agreed with me, her brother asked if the guy just had to pee how were his hands getting dirty at the urinal. I said it was still a disgusting thing to do and just joked whether I should be worried shaking his hand (potentially an AH thing to say). He said no ofcourse not but still said he didnt see the big deal.

Yesterday we were going out near his place, I asked my gf if he wanted to join, she said probably not and said that he thinks I’m stuck up lol because of what I said. She personally doesn’t agree with him and was like lets just go by ourselves. So we did and had a good night. But its been at the back of my mind whether what I said was an AH thing to say.

  1. NTA. Seems like he doesn’t wash his hands, which means a germ bullet dodged if you don’t have to interact with him.
