(14) M, I don’t usually fart during class or any public space but last night I ate some really spicy noodles and didn’t think that it would affect my bowel system, and during a discussion during class, i really couldn’t hold it and let the biggest fart of my life just rip out!
Everybody heard it and was laughing at me, and made it hard for the teacher to control the classroom, and suddenly the teacher called me outside and told me that I was a disturbance to the class and that I should be mindful of my surroundings.
I felt really bad all of the sudden because one, I made everyone smell my fart because my classroom is enclosed, and two I interrupted the lesson.
I originally wasn’t gonna write about this, but gave it more thought and realized that I couldve been a really big a hole (I am not trolling please believe me)

It’s extremely rude. I know some adult men think it’s funny, it’s not. I get that you didn’t intend to but in the future, step outside if possible.
NTA. Shit happens. Pun intended. If you tried to get up to go to the bathroom it probably would have happened on the way there. That would have been more disruptive. BTW I’m probably the same age as your teacher or older.
Yes you are… Are you the Ahole for having normal bodily functions, of course not. However, you are at an age you should be able to realize when those bodily functions are coming about. If you felt your stomach stirring, realized you had gas on the way, you ABSOLUTELY should have excused yourself into the hallway or to the restroom.
Imagine being a grown adult, being in the middle of conference room meeting with your boss and colleauges and having the same behavior. It would be completely unacceptable. A mistaken toot here and there is fine, but to outwardly not care about your bodily functions in social settings is very poor manners.
This would be great advice if this kid were in college but students his age cannot excuse themselves to leave the room. Many times they are denied the ability to leave the room even to use a restroom (usually near the start and end of a class period). He may not have a had an option to leave.
If you knew it was coming you could have asked to go to the bathroom to not make everyone smell your fart and not embarass yourself, but if you didn’t have time, NTA. It happens and unless it isnt the first time, your teacher is old enough to understand it can happens.
