My roommate has a friend who visits often. She creates content on TikTok and is very enthusiastic about livestreaming. One night she showed up with a ring light and said she wanted to stream from our room around midnight because she claimed engagement was higher then.
I had an exam in the morning and planned to sleep early. I told her I needed rest. She said she could stay on her side of the room and that I should use earplugs. I still said no because the lights and talking would keep me awake.
She left and later posted something vague online about people not supporting others. My roommate said I could have adjusted since it was only one night. I do not think that is fair. I live in that room too, and midnight is not an ideal time for filming.
