I (29F) don’t feel happy for my partner (30M) for the material things he’s requesting and getting from his parents. We’ve been dating for 3 years and 3 months. We have an LDR and barely see each other (2x max in a month) because 1. He’s busy 2. He doesn’t have enough money.
He still lives with his parents because of that and he doesn’t plan to move out anytime soon. There were many times he had to reschedule an important exam because he has spent all of his savings on material things (dozens of shoes, gaming laptop, expensive ergo chair, gadgets, etc). In terms of contributing to their household: he never gave a single penny to his parents, he relies on his dad’s gas allowance for their family car and doesn’t cover expenses for car maintenance too.
Anyway, recently ive been noticing that he’s been going on and on about the newest macbook pro m5. Bottomline, he wants the top of the line laptop because its “future proof”…. Which he requested from his father.
He doesn’t code or edit at all. So i don’t know and i don’t understand why I don’t feel happy for him.
