Am I (21 F) the asshole… for refusing to spend time with my boyfriend’s (21 M) best friend (20 M) despite the fact that he is an ogre who has very little brains and what he does with said brains is BAD? My boyfriend says that, since he knows both of us, he knows if I gave him a chance that I would like him which I find honestly insulting!
Edit: There was not much context here so here are some reasons I dislike him!
I knew his best friend before we started dating and thought he was a nuisance. He is rude, rambunctious, a massive gym rat who doesn’t train legs and doesn’t do anything with his strength letting weaker people do the heavy jobs at work, he makes fun of anyone and everyone, he’s extremely materialistic – he told someone his dad was the richest man in his area (untrue), and thinks he’s better than everyone because he wears stone island.
My boyfriend has rose-tinted glasses for his best friend and doesn’t see this side of him (although I don’t see how any part of him is good). My boyfriend also thinks I’m the only person who doesn’t like him but he is generally very disliked by our community.
