So, me and my friend had a huge disagreement on her choosing her school friends over me, that somehow resulted into her saying shit to people abt me, I’ve 2 dogs, a shitzu and a pug, my pug is a senior (he’s 15 years old) and my shihtzu is 2 and usually my shitzu’s a bit energetic, so when I have guests over I have to keep them on a leash that’s tied to my bed, but after the guests are gone I take the leash off of them immediately. So apparently to her that means I’m abusing them, she went up to a ton of people in school telling them how I tie up my dogs and ‘don’t let them out’, mind you she has like 5 parrots, a cockatiel, a conure and three budgies (well two now since one died cuz she let her cat near their cage) she keeps all of those parrots in a VERY small cage that’s meant to fit only 3 budgies MAX. And somehow IM abusing my animals. I’ve had dogs since I was like 1 l very much know how to take care of them and it infuriates me when people who don’t know shit abt dogs tell me that im not taking care of them, forget dogs I’ve a parrot too, he’s a sun conure and I keep him in a cage that’s meant for larger birds, and that to her is also somehow abuse since he doesn’t have a mate. So, it all pissed me off and I remembered that I have a video of her hitting and throwing her 2 month old kitten 😬 so I decided to share it to other people in school then one day she comes up to me when im walking with my friends she asks me "why’d you share something like that? You know I have mood swings and i can sometimes lose my shit but that doesn’t mean I abuse my cat?" I told her that it doesn’t matter if her mood swings are acting up it doesn’t give her the right to tell people that I’m abusing my animals when in reality she’s the one doing that. All of this is fucking with my head lowkey idk if im in the right or wrong here.
I would say NTA but it sounds like some training for your young pup would be an all around better choice for you both.
