My friend started dating this guy a few months ago, and since then our schedules got quite busy so we haven’t been able to hang out a lot. But last year, we made a deal that we’d watch the fireworks together this year, in another city.
Now she’s telling me that she wants to cancel our deal/plan because the guy they’re dating is coming to the country we’re in. I asked another friend whether what I was doing was rude, but she said it’s not as long as I pick between Christmas and New Years, and I did.
We’ve known that he’s been planning on going here for awhile now, and last month I asked what’s in theirr itinerary so I can match them up with mine (for the fireworks, since we’re gonna go to a different city for it.) And they said that their bf hasn’t even made a passport/visa.
But just today, my friend told me that their boyfriend said he doesn’t want to meet us (their friends.) And if he were to ever go out with us/me with my friend, it’ll only be when he cheats on her with me. (bruh)
Another thing he did was he told her that he’s not sure he can come visit my friend next year, so he wants to spend as much time as possible-this became one of her reasons as to why she wants to cancel our plans. And I kind of crashed out and told her that we might not be friends next year, if they keep doing this to us(friendgroup)/me.
They’d ignore me when we hang out, just to call their bf. This happened multiple times. And they’d go home faster than the rest of us because their bf wants to call-which is sweet, but it keeps happening and it’s getting annoying to me.
I’ve apologized, but can’t seem to stop feeling terrible. AITA?
