Hi there I’m 21yr male and yesterday night my dad came over to my house to see if I was ready to go to dinner and see a Christmas light show "for context my mother has a been planning this for weeks and is really excited about doing this together", well when he came inside my house we ended up chatting for a bit and he let slip out that my uncle J was going to be coming with us "for context I used to be really close to my uncle infact I looked up to him like a father because my real father and me had a rough relationship growing up. Well about a year ago my uncle allowed me and my now Ex Fiancee to stay with him while I went through some legal trouble, long story short my uncle and my now Ex Fiancee had an affair behind my back for almost 2 months before I found out and they did the most believe me I don’t really want to get into it here because It causes so much rage and emotions I don’t want to feel lol"
Back to the main story, my father let slip that my uncle J was coming with us to see the lights and eat dinner and I immediately told him im not going because I didn’t want to put myself in a position I knew wasn’t going to turn out well for anyone involved, I mean like my mother’s brother went behind my back and had a f#cking full on affair with the woman I was planning on trying to build a life with. My father told me I was childish and selfish for not going and my mother gave me this big speech about how much she does for me and how pathetic I’m being by not going.
I just don’t understand why AITAH because I didn’t want to be in a situation with someone that hurt me so bad?

Thank you, I literally told my mom yesterday that I wouldn’t be attending his funeral and that he is quite literally dead to me. But they keep saying I need to grow up and dumb stuff like that
