Some context (you can skip this part) : I come from the middle east where sex is prohibited until marriage, and the two genders are very segregated (as many of you may already know).
Sex is seen as a thing done to a woman by a man, and it’s seen as the man’s right and as the woman’s duty towards her husband, it’s almost never seen as the wife’s right, i’m always told that women are supposed to always please their husbands so that the husband doesn’t start looking elsewhere and be tempted to cheat..
People around me are always talking about how it’s a man’s nature to wanna get it over with quickly and then turn around and fall asleep, and that doing things like foreplay or teasing his wife before getting into it is boring and tedious for men, and makes sex less enjoyable. and that any man that says otherwise is lying
I’m not sure what to believe.. but i want this to be an incorrect generalization. i’d love to get honest (even brutally honest) opinions from the men here; is foreplay only enjoyable for women ? do men really just wanna put it in, finish in a couple minutes, and then turn around and go to sleep?

Exactly. Unfortunately OP comes from a Pretty shitty culture when it comes to how women are treated.
Personally, I don’t enjoy it unless the woman enjoys it too, so I will do everything to make her have a great time before I finish myself. Afterwards, I do think men and women deal differently (personally I am so mentally exhausted I basically pass out and have the best sleep of my life)! But that’s not to say it’s wrong either way!
What I do think is that even in your culture, sexual gratification is important and you’ll only end up resenting your partner if they don’t have a good sexual connection with you.
yes i know that this happens cuz many of the marriages i’ve seen are sexless and dry, mostly cuz the woman lost all interest in having sex especially after she gives birth
