how do i know if my bf is lying about only fans subscriptions?

my bf (24m) and i (23f) have been together for a year and a half. a couple months ago i saw an OF browser in his “recently visited” pg on safari and asked him why he uses that since he’s always said that men who pay for OF in a relationship are cheating. he told me he didn’t pay for it, he just goes on for free content sometimes and i hesitantly brushed it off.
but yesterday when he was scrolling through his recent email inbox, i saw an email to him notifying that his subscription for a $20 OF account was about to end. i asked him what it was and he told me it’s just spam messaging him. i’m concerned he’s lying and has been lying to me this whole time. anyone who uses of know how likely this is?

    1. It’s a way to steer her in one direction while he does the opposite and it gets her off his trail.

A lot of people do that when they don’t want someone to know something. It’s like a defense mechanism I would assume.

  1. …Why would they use a ruse like that as scam? Wouldn’t a ‘Hey so and so it 50% off?’ make more sense?

Regardless, he’s lying, and he can easily prove it by showing you his supposedly free only account, though that may not be something you want to see.

  2. Tell him to stop taking you for a fool, and you know he’s lying to you. Don’t cry, don’t yell- be calm, and say it in a low voice. Throw his own words about cheating back in his face, and above all, don’t let him gaslight you. He’s shown you who he is- end it. You’re young and deserve better.

  3. Yes, he’s lying. You’ve got a smoking gun here. Nothing we can tell you will be a better proof than what you already have.

  4. Paying for pornography in the modern age is a big waste of money

You don’t want to be with somebody who is not good with money .
