I (20 F) live with my boyfriend (21 M) who we’ll call Kaleb and our roommate (24 F) who we’ll call Sage and I’ve recently noticed my razor moving from the spot I put it. Sage and I agreed we’d have different colored razors so I assumed the first time or two it moved it was an accident but today I noticed her face was freshly shaved, she didn’t have a razor in the bathroom and mine was moved. I’m stressing out on how to ask her if she used it and if she did if I’d be the asshole if I told her that I used it to shave my bikini area so she realizes how gross it is to use someone else’s hygiene products. So WIBTA?
NTA. If she’s using your razor then she’s already the asshole. So gross.
NTAH. Tell her you shave your ass w that razor . I fucking hate roommates that don’t understand boundaries
I’ve had some issues with her and boundaries before this but hygienic boundaries are ones that I cannot stand being broken.
Also it really increases the risk of skin infections. Neither of you want Staph 😬
As someone who had Staph and had to get a big tattoo to cover the disgusting looking scars left on my leg, I second this. Don’t play around with skin infections. Staph is painful and horrid.
As someone who lost part of her right foot to a bone infection, you do not want staph.
NAH.
lol this reminds me of when my sister and I bought different colored toothbrushes so we wouldn’t mix ours up ….. until weeks later when she saw me brushing my teeth and we realized that we both thought the purple one was ours.
I’d bring it up like that — “hey I know we picked different colors but I noticed the razor keeps moving, mine’s the orange one right?”
If she says yes … I guess you have nothing to talk about. Maybe she’s just moving it for some reason ?
Edit- just changing to NAH since it’s probably a genuine mistake on her part too!
Or if she says “yes”, OP could follow up with “great, because that’s my pube razor.”
NTA.
Just don’t say anything and throw it away.
She probably used it on her pubes too anyway.
well, hopefully she doesn’t have Hep C or another communicable disease spread by blood (sharing razors)
We’ve had discussions about that and everyone in the house has been tested and is clean of all diseases thank god becaue I didn’t even think about how bad that could be
Testing is a single point in time. New infections can happen at any point. Keep your razor in your room.
INFO: You had discussions about everyone getting tested for diseases before moving in together…?
Toss the razor, it’s no good anymore due to cross contamination. Get a new one and keep it in a drawer or toiletry bag in your room from now on, problem solved.
