Idk where else to ask this because I want to know what men think lol. I’m a 5’0, 20 year old woman and constantly mistaken for a 12-16 year old. I’m worried this will prevent any guy (that isn’t a creep) from finding me attractive or wanting to date me. Is that a possibility and how can I either fix it or cope?

I very often see on reddit that many men want young women (regardless of the mans age), I don’t think you’ll have a hard time finding someone that finds you attractive.
What age range of men are you looking for a boyfriend in? I ask because that matters. If you’re aiming to date men around your age it should be fine. If you’re aiming to date men in their 30s or older, you might accidentally attract someone who is into your “young” looks for the wrong reasons.

Heh. I had a coworker who had a heart condition, and because of it she was kind of short and skinny. Despite being nearly 30, if you didn’t know better you might think she looked 14.
She didn’t have any particular trouble finding dates. But the guys she dated did get teased a lot about how young she looked. So, in your case, I’d suggest finding a guy with a really good sense of humor who can laugh along with the teasing.
Who are you getting mistaken for a 12-16 year old by though? I’m 37 and anyone under 23 looks like a kid and could be 15 for all I know.
If she looks like a 15 year old then yeah thatd be weird and I wouldnt even approach her because I’d think she was 15.
Are the people saying you look 12-16 being honest or just trying to insult you to make you feel small? I notice insecure women tend to say pretty women in their twenties “look 15” as an insult because their jealous even though said woman looks like a young woman and not a child.

People will always find ways to judge other people’s choices in life, and the best thing any of us can do is learn to ignore the noise and focus on our own happiness.
