My (17f) friends (18f) wanted to go out for dinner and I said sure, why not. What I didn’t know is that the restaurant they wanted to go to included a lounge, which doesn’t allow anyone under the age of 18 to enter. They wanted to eat in the lounge bit, but didn’t tell me about it. I didn’t realise until a few days before and I asked them if we could go somewhere else so I could come along. They told me it was too late because they already paid a reservation fee, they paid for the transportation (I chipped in as well) and it would be too much effort to find another place. They then pressured me into making a fake id and I was not comfortable with doing that at all so I told them that I won’t be coming. They proceeded to go ahead with the dinner and it just upset me because they could have eaten in the normal part of the restaurant but they cared more about the lounge.

NTA and I hope you asked for the money back that you chipped in for the travel. The fact that your friends care so little means they aren’t really your friends.
