For a little context, I (31M) and my fiancée (34F) have been together for 10 years, 6 dating 4 engaged, and smoke alot of weed together. She works 3rd and sleeps in most mornings, I get our 4 daughter’s breakfast ready and then drop 3 of them off to school. Monday is our mutual off day and when I got home at 8:30AM My fiancée was still asleep and our 2 year old was about to wake up, so I hurried up and smoked the rest of the blunt that i had been working on since 6AM. When my fiancée woke up, her first words were, “Why didnt you wake me up to smoke the weed?” I replied “You were up late and i was getting the kids ready so I just let you sleep.” She now is saying im insensitive and dont care about hanging out with her and only think about myself. We have plenty of weed left. Am I the asshole?
NTA. But I think your problem is much bigger than not waking up your wife to smoke weed. It sounds like you are both addicted. You are raising four children, is that the kind of environment you want them to grow up in?

Let me get this correct. You said you’ve been working on that blunt since 6am. You also said that you get up, take care of 3 of your 4 daughters, then you drive them to school and get back at 8:30, get more high, then take care of your 2 year old?
TLDR: Wake up, get high, be responsible for children in a car, get more high with the only other adult, then be responsible for a 2 year old.

What if your daughter starts choking and you’re both too blitzed out to figure out what to do? What if one of your other kids is sick at school and needs a ride home and to be taken care of? This is ridiculous.
You made the choice as adults to have multiple children. They’re your absolute first priority. Get help. Both of you.

I’m a paediatric emergency doctor. I report parents like you to social services. You don’t deserve to have children. Driving children to school while high is disgusting behaviour. People who habitually smoke weed always think it’s harmless and not real drug use, which is hilarious. Smoking anything around children is harmful to their lungs (even having remnants of smoke on clothing has been proven to affect children). You are continuously putting them at risk by caring for them while stoned. Both of you are terrible people.
