AITA? I replied with a joke comment in r/hygiene

For some reason r/hygiene pops up on my feed occasionally. I just saw a post asking for “advice that grossed you out but turned out to be true.”

I advised them to try putting toothpaste on their finger and swirling it around in their butthole. Was that legitimately funny, or am I the butthole who deserves swirling?

Edited for punctuation and to correct autocorrect.

      1. No, I don’t want to give you ideas but at least explain what good it would do. Randomly say do this without explanation/punchline is just stupid. And relies on just an image only 5 year olds find funny.

An joke, although a bad one would be: “I’ve started washing my hands before I use the bathroom. Really cuts down on the number of people who want to shake them.”

      2. If they do, they might hurt themselves in a small way. That’s on you. That’s being a bad human.

The BEST you can say about this is that you’ve wasted a bunch of people’s time and added nothing of value to a conversation.

  1. No one has even replied to your comment. You made this post right afterwards.

YTA for even posting the comment if you immediately knew it might be a shitty thing to do.

  2. YTA

    1. That isn’t funny. It’s stupid.
    2. Beyond it being unfunny, it’s wasting everyone else’s time for your amusement. That’s… bad. It’s crappy of you. It’s an AH move. YTA.
    3. Some poor dumbass might read your comment and actually do it. That’s not funny. It’s sad. You might hurt someone in a small way. That’s being a bad Human.
    4. Grow TF up.
